Mel has two passions: making art and working with people. She has many years of experience working with adolescents in wilderness therapy and group home settings, and this work has complimented her career has a studio artist.

Mel is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and a licensed addictions counselor (LAC). She is thrilled to be working with the women at the YWCA and is grateful for the wisdom she gains from them daily. She loves dogs, playing outside, and supporting people reconnect with their bodies.
